Tsukkake (Stomach Punch)

Uke shouts (EEEI!) and attempts to strike Tori in the stomach (fig. 1 and 2). Uke strikes with his right fist (knuckles downwards / palm upwards).

Tori makes a kneeling Tai-sabaki on his left knee to avoid Uke's blow. Tori wards off Uke's blow with his left hand, fingers point downwards. Tori shouts (EEEI!) and strikes Uke between his eyes with his right fist (knuckles downwards / palmupwards) (fig. 3).Tori's atemi is always Uraken (knuckles downwards / palm upwards). The reason is the close distance. There is no room for twisting the arm like in Karate.

Tori moves his right hand and grips Uke's right wrist from above. He holds Uke's wrist tightly against his right thigh, near his knee. He pulls Uke forwards Uke loses his balance forward. Tori moves his left hand behind Uke, over Uke's left shoulder and grips across Ukes front neck in Uke's right lapel (fig. 4).

Tori moves diagonally towards Uke's left front (2 steps) and applies Ude-hishigi hara gatame on Uke's right arm (fig. 5). Tori should lock Uke's arm against his lower abdomen (below the belt). At the same time, Tori applies a strangling with his left hand.

Uke taps with his left hand on the mat. The reason is that Uke's position is lower than in the technique before.
